Lord of the [[House Mhoire]], husband of [[Lady Tairla Mhoire]]. His followers include [[Hurnmel the Smith]] and the [[Jester]].

The Lord and the Lady fled the court from [[Dericost]] to [[Dereth]] when Lord Cynreft Mhoire learned that Prince [[Geraine IV]] had become undead.<ref name=AncientJournalPage>2007/03 [[Ancient Enemies]] - [[Ancient Journal Page]]</ref>

At the conclusion of the [[Millennium War]] Geraine and his servants, including Rytheran, fled to Dereth to escape their destruction.<ref name=AncientJournalPage/> Rytheran found the Mhoires<ref name=AncientJournalPage/>

In an attempt to protect his lord and nobles from being turned by Lord [[Rytheran]] and [[His Eternal Splendor]], the [[Jester]] confronted Rytheran with a plan to trick him for godlike power and in exchange he would give the house over to him. However, he was also betrayed and the [[Book of Eibhil]] left him mad with power, allowing Rytheran and the imperial court to use him to locate the House Mhoire and destroy it. <ref name=JesterRev>[[Dispatch]] - [[The Jester's Revelations]]</ref>

Rytheran used the [[Book of Eibhil]],<ref name=FoolishAmbitionTeaser>2008/03 [[Foolish Ambition]] - [[Announcements_-_2008/03_-_Foolish_Ambition#Teaser|Teaser]]</ref><ref name=RytheransJournal>2008/03 [[Foolish Ambition]] - [[Rytheran's Journal]]</ref><ref name=LordRytheransJournal>2008/03 [[Foolish Ambition]] - [[Lord_Rytheran%27s_Journal#Lore_.26_Dialog|Lord Rytheran's Journal: Lore & Dialog]]</ref> to destroy the Mhoire estate and torture and corrupt the people.<ref name=RytheransLetter>2007/03 [[Ancient Enemies]] - [[Rytheran's Letter]]</ref> All of the House Mhoire was destroyed, with only the graveyard remaining, which was eventually swallowed by the earth.<ref name=AncientJournalPage/>

Later, at some point after Wintersebb, 17 PY<ref name=AncientEnemiesRollout>2007/03 [[Ancient Enemies]] - [[Announcements_-_2007/03_-_Ancient_Enemies#Rollout_Article|Rollout]]</ref> and before Wintersebb, 18 PY, Rytheran entered the hidden library below the mage academy and read from the [[Book of Eibhil]].<ref name=RytheransLetter/> He did so in an attempt to refresh his fading mind, which according to his letter to [[Aerfalle]] was successful.<ref name=RytheransLetter/> However, his reading from the book caused the graveyard to be unearthed and the spirits of the Mhoires to awaken.<ref name=RytheransLetter/>
