The Drudge Aviator

Walk Through

1. Speak to Aludi al-Jaladh in Ayan Baqur at 60.7S 88.0W.
2. Make your way to the Drudge balloon fort at 12.1S 92.7W.
   • Route: Run from Gear Knight recall camp or from Northwest Direlands Portal at the Aerlinthe drop. Both runs are long and about the same distance.
   • If you have a large group it is worth the time to tie to the entrance portal of the War Room, it will save everyone else a run of 8-10 minutes. However, note that the boss only drops 1 item per kill.
3. If you have lockpick you can skip this part. Kill drudges in the fort until you've found these Red, Silver, Black, and Green Drudge Keys (the color is random and keys drop on all the drudges, both in the fort and inside the dungeon).
4. Go inside the portal to the War Room. The portal is in the middle of the courtyard of the fort.
   • From the drop use pick the door or use the black Drudge Key and head east.
   • Stick right until you come to the next locked door, use the silver Drudge Key.
   • Stick left to the next locked door and use the red Drudge Key.
   • Continue sticking left to the last locked door and use the green Drudge key.
5. The Drudge Aviator spawns above you on a platform near a table.
   • Run through the chamber to the west wall and follow the ramp up (it circles over the chambers).
   • When you reach the ledge, shift-jump over to the Drudge Aviator near the table on the platform.
   • Be aware of the "Escape Route" exit portal directly under the ledge. He's guarded by a group of Drudge Toilers on a fast respawn rate.
   • Kill the Drudge Aviator and retrieve the Flying Machine Plans and Flying Machine Instructions from its corpse. There is only one set per corpse (5 min respawn).
6. Once you have both take the "Escape Route" exit portal, climb the tower and give the Flying Machine Instructions to the Drudge Flying Machine. The flying machine balloon will portal you back to the hill south overlooking Ayan Baqur and Aludi al-Jaladh will be behind you.
7. Give the plans to Aludi al-Jaladh for the cap and trade note. Aludi also accepts any leftover keys for a trivial amount of xp and pyreals.

Aludi al-Jaladh tells you, "I have received reports from adventurers that a great beast has been seen flying across the Direlands. They say it is as big as a house and spits fire and acid."

Aludi al-Jaladh tells you, "This beast must be investigated and catalogued. Go and seek out this beast and bring back proof of your findings."

Aludi al-Jaladh tells you, "The last sighting was south and west of Fort Tethana, along the western coastline of the Direlands."

Giving the Flying Machine Instructions to the Drudge Flying Machine

You allow Drudge Flying Machine to examine your Flying Machine Instructions.

Drudge Flying Machine teleports you with Balloon Ride.

Using the instructions you are able to fly the balloon. Unfortunately, the instructions are unclear on several points. The most important point would be how to land.

You jump to safety as the balloon begins to head out to sea.
