Quest Overview

Recover fiery weapons from Banderlings camped in the northern parts of Dereth.

Walkthrough

Quarter Staff of Fire

Arwic Mines Camp

A minimum lockpick skill of 122 is required to reach the area with the staff.

• [Optional:] Purchase the Arwic Mines Rumor from Wylreda the Scribe in Rithwic.

1. From Arwic run to the Arwic Mines portal at 33.8N, 56.8E.
2. From the drop go through the door and take the first right into the room with the NPC vendor Elthina the Shady.
3. From this room, take the passage on the north wall and head down the ramp.
4. Continue east through the intersection and head down another ramp. From here, you can just keep left all the way down to the Banderling room.
5. You will go through a door and then a few rooms filled with Banderlings. When you head through the door to your east, you'll be at a split. Keep left and go through the winding corridor until you reach the ramp down.
6. Keep to the left until you come to a locked door (diff. 40). Pick it open, then continue left until you reach a large room with Banderlings and a Lich.
7. Another locked door is on the west wall (diff. 122). Pick it open, in the middle of this room is an area with Banderling Bandits and a Banderling Striker near two chests.
8. Kill the Banderling Bandits and loot the Quarter Staff of Fire.

Edelbar Camp

• The old rumor Edelbar Directions told of another Banderling Camp outside of Holtburg.

1. Run west from Holtburg to the Banderling Camp near Edelbar at 43.9N, 25.1E.
2. Kill the Banderlings and search them until you find the Quarter Staff of Fire.

Fire Spear

Northwest Banderling Camp

• The old rumor Banderling Camp Directions told of a third Banderling Camp near the woods northwest of Edelbar.

1. Head to the Banderling Camp at 65.0N, 3.0W.
   • Route: Take the Lake Nemuel Settlement portal from Stonehold (69.6N, 20.2W) to be dropped just a few clicks from the camp at 62.8N, 0.1W.
2. Once you reach the camp, you will be met by many Banderlings including Banderling Thrashers, Banderling Enforcers and a Banderling Rogue camped near a Sturdy Iron Chest.
3. Kill the Banderling Rogue and loot the Fire Spear.

Tiofor Woods Camp

1. Head to the Banderling Camp at 38.2N, 7.1E in the Tiofor Woods.
   • Route: From Glenden Wood, take the Whispering Pines Cottages portal at 27.8N, 29.5E.
2. Once you reach the camp, you will be met by many Banderlings including Banderling Berserkers, Banderling Strikers and two Banderling Rogues.
3. Kill the Banderling Rogues, and loot the Fire Spear that one of them drops. There is also a Runed Chest at the top of the tower which can be picked open.

Lore & Dialog

Facility Hub Warden

Warden tells you, "To the West of Holtburg you'll find the abandoned town of Edelbar, many years ago this town was sacked by Tumeroks."

Warden tells you, "Now the town is left to the wilds, many creatures occupy it. To the Northwest of Edelbar you'll find a camp of Banderling Bandits."

Warden tells you, "Their camp is located near 43.9N 25.1E. One of these Banderlings possessed a Quarter Staff of Fire."

Warden tells you, "Locate the camp, kill the Banderlings and return to me when you find the Quarter Staff of Fire and I will see to it that you're rewarded."

You allow Warden to examine your Quarter Staff of Fire.

Warden tells you, "You've done well to recover this Quarter Staff of Fire for me."

Warden tells you, "You've earned this reward."

You've earned 1,650,000 experience.

Notes

• During The Hall of the Tusker King event, the following changes were made:
  • The Banderling Bandit found in the northwest camp was updated to a Banderling Rogue and now only drops the Fire Spear. The camp was also updated with higher level Banderlings and a Sturdy Iron Chest.
  • The Banderling Bandits found in the Arwic Mines were updated and now can only drop the Quarter Staff of Fire.
  • A third camp was introduced near Edelbar with a Banderling Bandit that also drops the Quarter Staff of Fire.
  • A fourth camp now found in the Tiofor Woods with another Banderling Rogue that drops the spear.
  • Originally, the bandits found at the northwest camp and inside the Arwic Mines would randomly drop any of the three Fiery Weapons.
• During the Reforging the Past event, the Edelbar camp can now be accessed and completed through the Facility Hub Quests for an experience reward. The Quarter Staff of Fire has also received an update.
