=== My Experience at lvl 134-135 melee (12th March 2012) ===
*RUN 1: Tried solo running the +80 part. Failed once and died after finding many mobs (Virindi and Shadows/Shades) in the tunnel blocking the way past.
*RUN 2: Tried a second run solo but this time to take out mobs as i go. I got almost to my corpse and had to port out due to many mobs respawning behind aswell as the mobs infront i yet had to face.
*RUN 3: Gained help from a level ~230 (mage) alliance friend. He had to stop and aoe nuke many times enroute and found his HP drop below 50% on a few occassions. Eventually got to my corpse and finished the quest. 63 million xp (on 50% bonus xp weekend). Wasnt worth it! :(
Side Note: There was at least a dozen player corpses down there. So i changed the wikii to warn people of the risk of trying to run this solo if under level 200.

Right, the quest for the Atlatl came first, in Evolution, followed by this quest the next month. We can easily split it up into two separate quests. --Widgeon 18:54, 19 July 2008 (CDT)

I think this should be divided up, at least into two quests. One quest for the eyeslayers (Monouga Feeding Pits) and one for the logs (Monouga Laboratory). They are really two different things. The feeding pits/eyeslayer was added a patch or two before the logs, and its not necessary to spawn the monouga/get the ribs to complete the log quest. --An Adventurer 18:23, 19 July 2008 (CDT)

Heh, it's pretty crazy. When I looked at this quest I decided to start with the lowest level one, since it should have been easiest. Oops. Thick spawns on a fast respawn timer. I ended up sending my mage (level 230) down there and using fire rings to clear the area. I even killed the big monouga down there once. I'm just glad the other two aren't as bad, although I bet they could still be challenging if you tried to kill everything. --Widgeon 13:50, 18 July 2008 (CDT)

Whoever balanced the 80+ dungeon was on crack. That place is insane. --Tlosk 10:18, 18 July 2008 (CDT)

140+

Ok, the first left for 140. Got that. Why don't the level ranges on this entry match. 140 for first left, but 150+ for quest?

Tried to do the 140+ with 3 mages one UA'd. Mage 200,200,180 and UA 178. No maps once you hit the red dungeon part, so it's very easy to lose your orientation. Insane kill times on the mobs, if you pause 30 seconds after clearing a hallway hub, you WILL be covered in respawn you just cleared. On Solclaim it's nothing but bodies in the first 50 feet, people who obviously got the same misdirection from the wiki that I did. This is not possible to do without 3 years of augmentations, 275's or a full group, or some combination. It's ridiculous.

Learning From Experience XP Update

  • Earned 123,436,993 @ level 122 with 6% trinket when doing the 120+ quest:
You give Corporal Liao Chen Olthoi Experiment Log.
The guard skims the book, then looks at you with a blank expression.
Corporal Liao Chen tells you, "This doesn't bode well for the future. Not well at all."
You've earned 123,436,993 experience.
Corporal Liao Chen tells you, "I'd better get this to the royals post-haste. They'll want to see this."
You are now level 123!
