Hea Tuperea and his pets

Quest Overview

Hea Tuperea is a Tumerok who hunts with his four Reedshark pets: Reshalra, Sahkurea, Manuaka and Utelari. He can usually be found near the base of the plateau as mentioned in a Hea Tuperea's Reedsharks.

Walk Through

1. Optional: Purchase the rumor Hea Tuperea's Reedsharks from Hea Camauri the Barkeep in Ahurenga.
2. Find the Hea Tuperea and his pets by searching the northern Ahurenga Plains near the base of the plateau. Most sighting of Tuperea are in the area near the Secret Putiputi Place at 46.5N, 82.3W.
   • Route: From the Town Network, take the annex (south) wing to Redspire. Then go west and take the North Ahurenga Plains portal at 41.0N 83.6W and you are in the middle of the Ahurenga Plains.
3. Defeat Hea Tuperea for the Crop End and Crop Handle and 4 pouches of Dried Meat.
4. Kill the Reedsharks Utelari and Sahkurea for the Virindi Implants.
5. Reshalra, Sahkurea, Manuaka and Utelari also drop one fealty collar each (see below).
6. The Crop End and Handle can be combined to create the Barbed Crop staff weapon (300+ skill check with a fixed 50% chance of success).
7. If you have the old retired Crop weapon, you can take it to Aun Ngationa in Timaru at 44.2N 78.1W for the newer version.

Tuperea grins ferally at you, "The atual arutoa have taught me the way to remove and cure the flesh of your kind, prey. You will make a beautiful wrap for my wife."

Tuperea grins ferally at you, "Here, my precious hunters! Bring this prey down, and we shall sup upon its flesh."

Tuperea grins ferally at you, "You are meat."

The thunder of crushing Manuaka is followed by the deafening silence of death!
Tuperea cries out in dismay as nimble Manuaka falls to your attack!

Huntmaster Tuperea howls in anguish as you release loyal Sahkurea's soul from the prison of her Virindi-augmented body.

Virindi-altered Utelari yelps from your fatal blow! She collapses on her side, never again to bay at the moons.

---

You beat Reshalra to a lifeless pulp!
"Reshalra! No!" Tuperea cries as you land a killing blow on the brutish hunting reedshark.

You flatten Hea Tuperea's body with the force of your assault!
Tuperea staggers and falls to his knees. "Ah, my hunters, my precious children. I shall see you again, some day. Take your fill of my mortal flesh, my dears, and may it make you run strong across these fields."

You lash the two piece of the crop back together. Good as new!

You are not familiar enough with staff weapons to fix the crop. The pieces irreparably break.

Notes

• During the Pillars Made of Sand event, Hea Tuperea started dropping a new Barbed Crop. Old Crop weapons can be upgraded by handing them to Aun Ngationa.
• During the Reforging the Past event, the quest timer was standardized to 27 days (originally 30).
