The Cave of the Escaped Thief.

Walk Through

Note: It doesn't matter which NPC you start at.

1. To begin, speak with one of the three NPCs that start the quest (optional step : you can go to the cave without talking) :
   • Bhravarn ibn Salizim - 21.5S, 1.6W (Yaraq)
   • Turien di Furza - 71.9N, 61.2W (Sanamar)
   • Lucari di Bellenesse - 87.3N, 70.5W (Silyun)
2. Enter the Cave of the Escaped Thief at 71.1N, 50.2W (near the Beach Fort).
   • Tip: From Mayoi run to the Lady Maila Estates Portal at 60.9S, 80.3E.
   • Alternate Route: From Stonehold run to The Pit, jump to the bottom and take the Portal to the Beach Fort.
3. Hug the left wall to the bottom of the dungeon until you reach an Escaped Thief surrounded by 4 Abhorrent Eaters.
4. Kill the thief and loot The Sword of Bellenesse.
5. Return the sword to the NPC of your choice for a reward:
   • Bhravarn ibn Salizim - Replica Sword of Bellenesse
   • Lucari di Bellenesse - Shield of Silyun
   • Turien di Furza - Shield of Sanamar

Tips

The cave is full of high-level grievvers (Bane Grievvers and higher), but they are fairly well separated and can be picked off one-by-one for the most part. Because it also has a quick--but manageable--respawn rate and there is no level requirement for entry, this is one of the best places in the game for any level to get a Vial of Organic Acid for the Mage Armor quest.

I do not wish to get in the middle of their feud, and would not wish for you to be needlessly caught in it either. All I wish is a chance to learn from the blade."

The blade is the rightful property of the Duke Bellenesse. I hope, if you manage to find it before others do so, that you will return it to Silyun, so it may be returned to its rightful owner."

Turien Di Furza tells you, "Bring the blade to me, and your loyalty will be rewarded. Be warned, however. I have heard that both Silyun and some Bloodless in Yaraq also seek this blade. They must not be allowed to gain that which is rightfully Sanamar's."
