Ulgrim's Home Brew

Quest Overview

Ulgrim is thirsty but can't be arsed to trek down into the basement, so he has you fetch a mug of his special brew. He rewards you with a stein that can convert stamina into mana, a real boon for characters that don't have life magic trained.

Walk Through

1. Go to Ulgrim's Island
   • Route: Ulgrim's Island can be reached by giving the Drunken Madman in Baishi a Mug of Winter Lager.
2. Talk to Ulgrim the Unappreciated
3. Head into the Basement
4. Retrieve Ulgrim's Home Brew
5. Hand the Brew to Ulgrim for the Casting Stein
6. Optional: Kill the mice in the basement until one drops Ulgrim's Golden Key
7. Use the key on either the chests, or the door behind the secret passage (see map)
8. The chest on the left contains various beers, and the chest on the right contains a Hangover Cure, 2 Peppermint Sticks, an Ust and a Nanto Portal Gem.
9. Behind the locked door, you can find Treasure and Ulgrim's Golden Gromnie (Can no longer be picked up) and a lock box containing Ulgrim's ring.
10. Hand in Ulgrim's Home Brew to Ulgrim the Unappreciated to receive the Casting Stein.
11. [Optional] If you do not want the casting stein, it can be given to Ulgrim the Unpleasant in Ayan for an Asheron Mask.

Ulgrim the Unappreciated tells you, "A larger lager lather is the taste I'd rather gather"

Ulgrim the Unappreciated tells you, "when my lesser lager's suds are in the drink."

Ulgrim the Unappreciated tells you, "Then I mull the flavor over with it's hops and malts and clover"

Ulgrim the Unappreciated tells you, "and again about the pub is what I think."

Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "My Stein!! You should be rewarded!"

Ulgrim examines the stein, eyes widening in horror.

Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "It's not even full of Stout!"

Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "Well, I guess I can give you something, and I should get rid of this before he comes looking for me..."

Ulgrim the Unpleasant gives you Asheron Mask.
