Rare Red Pack Idol

Walk Through

1. Find a The Black Breath and loot a Black Ball from it.
2. Combine the Black Ball with a Beer Stein, which can be found at your local pub, to obtain a Black Ball in a Stein
3. Next you must go to Ulgrim's Island.

   • Route: The easiest way is to give the Drunken Madman [53.0S, 61.0E] a pint of Wah Chon's Winter Lager. Wah Chon makes his home in Nanto.

4. Next you must give your Black Ball in a Stein to the Mysterious Hatch [94.1S, 11.2W] on Ulgrim's Island.
5. Speak to Ulgrim the Unquiet who flags you to enter the Secret Chambers of the Zharalim.
6. Use the bookcase in Xarabydun that is near Sifida bint Naril the Scribe.
   1. Go into the underground area.
   2. Take all rights.
7. You will be portaled to the Secret Chambers of the Zharalim where you can loot a Rare Red Pack Idol or a Rare Pink Pack Idol. They can be found on pedestals a short way into the dungeon. You will encounter many Zharalim that are level 79 so be prepared!
8. If you attempt to loot a second pack doll at this point, you will be told that you've solved this quest too many times. There is an unknown timer on picking up a second doll, and it is believed that allowing Ulgrim the Unquiet to examine your first pack doll is required to pick up a second (after unknown timer expires).

Lore & Dialog

As you pickup the black ball it burns your fingers. You quickly drop it into your pack. As it lands in your pack the ball shudders with a dangerous sounding low pitched hum. The ball is obviously made of something very nasty and unstable.

You carefully slide the black ball into the beer stein. It slips in with a satisfying thunk.

You give Mysterious Hatch Black Ball in a Stein.
You drop the stein on the hatch. The stein shatters and the black ball explodes, blowing the hatch open. You jump through the open hatch just as a rope is pulled slamming it shut behind you.

Ulgrim the Unquiet tells you, "Aaah! Who are you? What? What was that explosion? You'll never take me!"
Ulgrim the Unquiet tells you, "You, you're not here to take me back to Ulgrim? Aaah! He's got it in for me, I know it! I was clever. I hid out down here and he never found me. He'll never find me."
Ulgrim the Unquiet tells you, "Look, if you keep my secret I'll let you in on a secret I've been keeping."
Ulgrim the Unquiet tells you, "There is a secret order of Zharalim, the Pakinites, who have discovered a wondrous rare item. They have been keeping these items to themselves in order to insure its rarity. I happened to know a few things that they needed to know in order to find these items."
Ulgrim the Unquiet tells you, "They have this secret bookcase in Xarabydun. If you pull the book labeled 'A Treatise on Uncommon Artifacts' it will open the way to their hidden chambers."
Ulgrim the Unquiet tells you, "Come back and see me when you have one of the rares. I'm interested in seeing what they've been hiding. Make sure you aren't followed though. Aaah!"

Ulgrim the Unquiet tells you, "Aaah! Who are you? Oh, it's you. Show me the rare you acquired from the Pakinites."

Ulgrim the Unquiet tells you, "Oh, it's very... pink. Aaah! Look, don't be too greedy. The more of these you take the more likely the Order will decide to come back and question me! Aaah! Aaah!"
