You must kill the Underminer Leader in the Granite Quarry and return his notes to Royal Guard Adrana in Yanshi to be able to use the lower undermine portal.

The Yanshi Swarm Matron's Claw can be returned to Royal Guard Adrana in Yanshi for 45,000,000 million xp.
