Quest Overview

In order to start this quest, you must have completed the Investigate the Factions quest, which allows you to preview each faction. Once you have decided to join the Celestial Hand, this quest will make you a member.

Walk Through

1. Head to Hebian-To and talk to Kirina of the Celestial Hand @ 39.7S 83.6E.
2. Head to the Corrupted Catacombs @ 23.9S, 54.1E (Near Sawato).If you will be taking a group, you can tie to the surface portal just inside Empyrean Foundry at 25.1S 54.1E to make a much shorter run.
   
3. The place is somewhat of a maze so you might have to backtrack. From the entrance turn right then left and then right and right again : you will be at a place with two ramps down. take the right one and follow the left wall down, after the double down ramp go right until you find a Slimy Key on the ground.
4. Once you have the key, you need to backtrack to the place with the 2 ramps down. This time take the left ramp and follow the right wall into the sclavus section until you see a locked door, use the Slimy Key on the door to unlock it.
5. Once through the door, grab a Corrupted Mana Shard from the pedestal.
6. Return the shard to Kirina of the Celestial Hand to be initiated into the Celestial Hand faction.
7. Use the Initiate's Treasure Key to loot one of the four chests inside the Celestial Hand Stronghold (Armor Quartermaster's Chest, Equipment Quartermaster's Chest, Weapon Quartermaster's Chest, Researcher's Chest).

Note:

• The Corrupted Mana Shard will only last 1 hour before turning to dust so you must hand it in to Kirina of the Celestial Hand within 1 hour of picking it up.
• Once initiated, you can now use the portal to the Celestial Hand Stronghold located next to Kirina.

Kirina of the Celestial Hand tells you, "Greetings. My name is Kirina. It is my honor and duty to aid people who wish to join our Society to prove themselves and be properly initiated to our Society."
Kirina of the Celestial Hand looks at some notes on a scroll.
Kirina of the Celestial Hand tells you, "I see that you have aided Jondor Torgren in Zaikhal and met with our recruiter in Ayan Baqur to receive a copy of our manifesto."
Kirina of the Celestial Hand tells you, "If you wish to join our Society, then I have a task for you, to prove your commitment. In the swamps of middle Osteth there is a cave. In that cave is the entrance to the Corrupted Catacombs. If you search around 23.9S, 54.1E, you should find the entrance."
Kirina of the Celestial Hand tells you, "In those catacombs, you'll find a Corrupted Mana Shard. Retrieve the Shard and bring it to me, and your test will be complete."
Kirina of the Celestial Hand tells you, "Be warned, once you have the Shard, it'll be rather unstable, and will last only an hour before it turns to dust. I'll cast a spell on you that will protect you from the corruption of the Shard. I wouldn't recommend touching it without the protections."
Kirina of the Celestial Hand chants briefly, and then touches your brow. Kirina of the Celestial Hand tells you, "There, you should now be able to carry the Corrupted Mana Shard safely."
