I agree with Sanddh, it would be nice to include a whatlinkshere link... or make it an option. "Display vendor link = yes", that sort of thing.

This goes for both templates: Author should be variable. There are many instances where the named author (at bottom of text) and the official page for the author do not match. For example, there are times when the author is listed as "O.", refering to Oswald. So it'd be nice to be able to do O. or Unknown. If this is already possible using ! then that is fine, but we should list that on the template description.--An Adventurer 14:24, 18 February 2009 (CST)

Lately, especially for rumors, I have been using the following bit in the template, since quite a few rumors and lore texts are obtainable at more shopkeepers, or for text dropped or found not at shopkeepers:

#Purchased from various [[:Special:Whatlinkshere/{{PAGENAME}} | shopkeepers]].

Also, I find the "whatlinkshere" bit handy because you not only get the shopkeepers, but also the dungeon or quest, if the rumor is mentioned in the article itself.

Is it also possible to add a "notes" section? Some texts are strongly related lore-wise, or quest wise (see for example The Beginning), and I would like to incorporate this kind of links.

We set icon pages to redirect to that page, so clicking on the icon brings you to the item instead of a description page for a generic image.

So for example, the icon Image:Altar of Asheron Rumor Icon.png will have its page content set to #redirect [[Altar of Asheron Rumor]] --An Adventurer 10:22, 23 September 2008 (CDT)

Why would it be a good idea to download, rename and reupload icon's if they are just the same as other text's? I mean, wouldnt that be a waste of server resources and bandwidth?
