Quest Overview

• You must have completed the first five Ordina Rossu Morta quests in order to begin this quest.
• You need to have access to Vissidal Island.

This quest includes a Red Rune Silveran Weapon as part of its rewards. Only 1 weapon can be obtained per character (it can be exchanged for a different weapon an unlimited number of times). This quest also rewards an orb that can be used to instantly access theRossu Morta Chapterhouse. This orb can be very useful as the chapterhouse has both a portal to Ayan Baqur and an Eye of Darkness for becoming a Player Killer.

This quest is the most difficult of the Rossu Morta faction quests. It requires a long run on Vissidal Island.

Walk Through

1. Talk to Jathaq al-Nishadina in the Rossu Morta Chapterhouse near Sanamar.
2. Enter Black Spear Summoning Chamber at 75.8N, 70.5E on the northeast end of Vissidal. The portal is on the beach, so running along the beach is recommended.
3. The dungeon is linear. Follow the path and beware of Umbral Soldiers along the way.
4. Kill the Keeper of the First Door and loot the First Keeper's Key from his corpse. Open the door behind him. Continue forward through the dungeon.
5. Kill the Keeper of the Second Door and loot the Second Keeper's Key from his corpse. Open the door behind him. Continue forward through the dungeon.
6. At the end you will find Archmage Aigonne, together with a Tainted Knight and a Tainted Vivimancer.
7. Kill them all, then loot Aigonne's Key, Heart of Archmage Aigonne and (optional/lore) Archmage Aigonne's Notes. Use the key to open the last door.
8. Jump down the pit, and kill Pontifex Maegris. He's accompanied by 2 Panumbral Soldiers.
9. Loot the Head of Pontifex Maegris and (optional) the Journal of Maegris.
10. Return to the chapterhouse and give the head and the heart to Jathaq al-Nishadina for the Rossu Morta Chapterhouse Recall Orb and experience reward.
11. You can now select a single token from the table by Jathaq al-Nishadina. Give the token to Meerana du Renari to receive a Rossu Morta Token.
12. The token can be used to purchase a Red Rune Silveran weapon from the Rossu Morta Quartermaster.
    • Note: If you want to exchange your weapon, give it to Meerana for another token.

Jathaq al-Nishadina tells you, "You may be strong enough to help me, friend. We recently learned of a shameful and idiotic betrayal by Pontifex Maegris of the Raven Hand. It was stupid to trust him, but that is another matter. What most concerns us is that a team of Count Dardante's most capable assistants, under Archmage Aigonne, located Maegris' summoning chamber, from where he apparently tried to wake Grael. We know something happened, but we cannot be sure, and Dardante's assistants have not returned. You must investigate the summoning chamber and bring back what evidence you can of Maegris and Aigonne. The summoning chamber can be reached through the Black Spear shrine on Vissidal Island, at 75.8 N, 70.5 E."
