Quest Overview

Walk Through

To begin the quest, speak to Ydnew at 12.0S, 42.6E in Yanshi. She will direct you to a Burun Fortress that sits around 25s and 46e, to see if you can find explanation for the rise of Burun and Renegade activity.
In order to access the Hidden Entrance dungeon later on, you need to go to the fortress and pick up some Blueprints for a Burun Fortress. Two Missives can be found in the same area as well.
Make your way to the Burun Fortress south of Yanshi.
- Route: From Yanshi head to the Swamp Temple Place settlement portal at 10.3S 45.7E and then run to the fortress at 25.8S, 46.3E.
Once you have the blueprints, run to the Hidden Entrance dungeon at 24.3S, 46.3E.
At the end of the dungeon is the portal to another dungeon (and another at the end of that one, etc.).
Work your way through all of the dungeons, collecting all 11 books on the way - you need to be level 80 to get into the final dungeon. There are two books in the initial entrance and underways dungeons, four in the tunnels and three books in the final halls dungeon.
Return to Ydnew in Yanshi and give them all 11 books for your rewards.

Talking to Ydnew for the first time:

Ydnew tells you, "Hail, friend. My name is Ydnew. I have been sent by High Queen Elysa to discuss the frequency with which the Burun have been appearing. Further, I am here to see that we keep close attention on the movements of the Burun and their new allies, the Renegades."

Ydnew tells you, "The events of the past few months has brought a great deal of consternation into the High Queen's court. Since Rage Lao mistakenly opened the first portals from the world that these creatures came from, we have wondered what they were. We still know very little, but we are confident that we will learn more about them soon."

Ydnew tells you, "In the past few weeks, we have seen a rise in Renegade and Burun activity near the old swamp temple near 25s and 46e."

Ydnew tells you, "I have been given leave to reward adventurers who assist us in finding out as much information as they can about the new relationship that the Renegades have forged with these Burun. Please use caution when approaching the temple. We know that they have enclosed the structure and are busy working toward some other nefarious end as we speak."

Ydnew tells you, "If you begin to become overwhelmed, please retreat. We have no cause for people to needlessly endanger themselves against this threat."

Handing book 1 & 2 in to Ydnew:

You allow Ydnew to examine your Report to Niarltah.

Ydnew tells you, "Interesting. This is the preliminary report on what the renegades have been able to learn about the Burun thus far. I'd be interested in and reward you for any further missives."

You give Ydnew Report to Niarltah.
