Isparian
The above images are examples of Aluvian, Gharu'ndim, and Sho writing as seen on the welcome signs at the old starting outposts.
Isparian language is not always clearly defined in Asheron's Call. On Dereth all Isparians speak and write in the common trade language of Old Roulean, which is English. However, Aluvian words and names are also English. For example, while the names of Gharu'dim and Sho weapons are clearly Gharu'dim and Sho, Aluvian weapons are named in English. True Aluvian would most likely resemble German.
Lugian
There are two examples of Lugian writing: the Quadruple-bladed Axe and the Map to Burun Lair. The runes on the axe are not helpful in decoding the language, but they establish that Lugian writing is runic, which means the renegade map must be Lugian and not Tumerok.
The map translates as follows:
= Dryreach | |
= Yanshi | |
= Baroon (Burun) |
The full Lugian alphabet was created in AC2 and is as follows:
Tumerok
The full Tumerok alphabet was created in AC2 and is as follows:
Empyrean
On the Empyrean languages, Stormwaltz wrote,
"The Empyreans (Yalaini) have an alphabetic script, as opposed to the Dericostian syllabic runes and the Falatacot word-character cuneiform." AC Warcry
