Lore & Dialog
Undead Mechanic tells you, "You should thank us, Isparian! Was our help not instrumental in orchestrating the retreat of the Ancient Olthoi Queen? But I do not expect good manners from your kind."
Undead Mechanic gives you Missing Mechanisms.
The undead studies you coldly, then nods.
Undead Mechanic tells you, "Regardless, the machine parts that your people have brought to us have been efficacious in our recent efforts to ... in our recent efforts. Therefore, we will continue this program. You no longer require our poison, so we have found other rewards."
Undead Mechanic tells you, "This text details the parts we will need. At one time there were stores of these parts cached about the land, but now, with the chaos of the times and your meddling, intrusive ways, Isparian, who knows where the parts may lie?"
Undead Mechanic tells you, "But find them, and bring them to me, and I will reward you."
You allow Agent of the Arcanum to examine your <Alloy Piece>.
Agent of the Arcanum tells you, "What an interesting ... umm ... mechanism! I have no idea what it's for! But you know, those Arcanum Researchers, they've been working with odd metals like this -- you should ask one of them. You can find them in the libraries in Cragstone, Hebian-To, or Zaikhal."
You allow Arcanum Researcher to examine your <Alloy Piece>.
Arcanum Researcher tells you, "Well, look at that. Where did you say you found this?"
The Arcanum Researcher studies the mechanism carefully. She rubs it, tries to dent it with a fingernail, even sniffs at the metal.
Arcanum Researcher tells you, "No, I've never seen anything like this. Although ..."
She tilts her head to the side as she thinks.
Arcanum Researcher tells you, "No, I think I do remember something about a metal like this. Something the undead were working on. Hmmm ..."
Arcanum Researcher tells you, "Why don't you ask the Undead Mechanic, by the waterfall on Marae Lassel? Maybe he can tell you something about this ... umm ... mechanism."
You give Undead Mechanic <Alloy Piece>.
Undead Mechanic tells you, "Ah, yes, one of our mechanisms. Very good. I have always maintained that Isparians must be good for something."
Undead Mechanic gives you <Blue Vellum Binder/Untranslated Page>.
You've earned <varies by piece> experience.
Undead Mechanic tells you, "Here is your reward -- a page from a great work of our literature. Perhaps it will improve your puny mind."
Undead Mechanic tells you, "What do you mean you cannot read it? Illiterate!"
Undead Mechanic tells you, "Well, I will give you a different page for each different part you bring me, and if you collect them all into a volume, I will exchange that for something more suited to your ... abilities ."
You fit the parchment into the binder.
You give Undead Mechanic Blue Vellum Binder.
Undead Mechanic tells you, "Ah, so you have collected all the pieces for us, have you? Very good, very good."
Undead Mechanic gives you Explorer Title Token.
Undead Mechanic gives you Walking Boots.
Undead Mechanic gives you Alloy Machine.
You give Undead Mechanic Explorer Title Token.
Undead Mechanic tells you, "Well, it's not something that I myself would be proud of, but here you are."
From this day forward <Player Name> shall be known as Explorer.
