• Archmages sell spell components, magic items, mana stones and alchemical items. Sometimes they sell spell component peas, portal gems, clothing (robes) and miscellaneous stuff such as the Splitting Tool.
• Named Archmages can be found in the major towns. Nameless archmages can be found all over Dereth, in towns or in the outskirts/wilderness. The majority of mages, both in towns and in the wilderness, sell scarabs up to level IV; however, the scarabs needed for more powerful spells are only sold by the Master Archmages and a select number of standard archmages.
• Master Archmages sell all magic components, and very specific magic goods, such as Master Robes and portal gems including some unique ones. See the Mastermage page for a list of these mages and their wares.

Archmages

Archmages that sell Platinum Scarabs also sell the Gold and Pyreal Scarabs. Only the archmages in Xarabydun and Mar'uun sell Gold and Pyreal Scarabs without selling the level VII scarab also.

• In Now In This Hush, all unnamed archmages found in the wilderness and town outskirts were updated and now sell tapers; lead, iron, copper, and silver scarabs; and all trade notes. In addition, master mages and select archmages also started selling town Portal Gems and Platinum Scarabs.
