Quest Overview

The Explorer Society wants new adventurers to explore the countryside, collect Town Stamps from the starter quest dungeons, and find Red and Gold Letters dropped by creatures to use the stamps upon. The stamped letters can be handed in for starter equipment such as armor, weapons and jewelry.

Walk Through

1. To begin, talk to one of the Society Agents found below. They will give you a Nexus Town Information Guide and A Book of Quests for New Explorers that together will outline all of the stamps and rewards as well as the locations of all the agents, dungeons and other quest NPCs found in each of the towns.
2. Kill low level Drudges and other creatures until you have enough Lucky Gold Letters or Scarlet Red Letters for the items that you want (see table below). The creatures that drop them tend to be found in the starter dungeons where the stamps are also found.
3. Next you need to stamp the letters using the Society's town stamps found in many of the starter dungeons. See the Nexus Town Information Guide that you were given and also the Starter Quests section.
   • You stamp your Lucky Gold Yaraq Letter. It is now ready to take to an Agent of the Society.
4. Once you have your stamped letter take it back to one of the Society Agents to be rewarded with a piece of equipment. Scarlet letters are rewarded with the lower Society equipment, and stamped lucky gold letters will get you an Explorer item with better spells. The item you receive depends on the town stamp that you use and also the town that you take the stamped letter to.
   • Note: The Society only rewards exploration; stamped letters cannot be returned to agents in the same town as the name on the stamp.

Notes

• In the A Perfect Paradox event, atlatls became available by handing the bow back to a society agent.
• In Discoveries event, the society and explorer wands were updated with new spells, icons and artwork.
• In Waking From the Abyss event, the following changes were made:
  • The society and explorer armor sets lost the old store bought leather look and now have unique styles.
  • Both types of armor gained a creature or life spell and an increase in AL from 60 to 100.
  • Society armor was also updated with Impenetrability II and the explorer armor spells were increased to level III.
  • Each of the weapons were updated with higher base damage and new icons.
  • The society weapons were also updated with mastery spells and the explorer weapon spells were increased to level III.
  • Society jewelry was added and the spells found on explorer jewelry were increased from level II to III.
• In From the Darkness Born event, both types of weapon were updated with increased damage, blood drinker spells and the Biting Strike property.
