Kryst is a small settlement situated on the Laesvos Island on the Vesayen Islands. It was founded by Zenzaburou Vanten the Archmage (or Zenzaburou Hensu?) and Vesayen Hylin as a refuge for escaped slaves during the Olthoi Enslavement.
The town founders insist on strict submission to the tenets of Jojiism and the Code of Pwyll, which was unacceptable for MacNiall the Unruled, who then founded MacNiall's Freehold. The current wearabouts of Vesayen Hylin are unknown.

Since Patch, a large group of Aluvian Spearman and other guards patrols the beach.
