Intervention in Eastham

Word had reached us of a banderling army headed to Eastham with the intention of wiping out the population and taking over the town. Our small group of seasoned adventurers knew that although we were few, we could not let the good residents of Eastham suffer such a fate without doing our best to stop it. So we hurried off as quick as we could and hoped to get there before the slaughter began.

We arrived just in time. As we entered the town, we noticed that others had heard the call for help and responded as well. Still, it seemed like such a small group could never hope to succeed in fending off an entire army of banderlings -- tall, fierce creatures with a very long reach. There was perhaps a dozen of us total, but we were all that stood between the invaders and the townspeople.

No sooner had we all joined up in the center of the town square and bonded to the lifestone than the beasts arrived. However, these were no mere cattle, but rather creatures with enough intelligence to attack from all sides! We quickly split up into teams and each of us headed off to the edge of town to battle the beasts and to pay with our very lives if that was what it would take to stop them.

The battle raged, each of us determined to take a few of the enemy with us if we fell. It seemed as though for every one we cut down, another took its place. Was there no end to this army? I quickly glanced around and saw everyone fighting with all their might, and I knew that if determination and heart meant anything, we would win the day. And no sooner did I turn back around with these thoughts in my head and my bloodied axe in my hand than the final remaining banderling in front of me perished. My comrades and I paused to grin at one another and as we turned to help our brethren fight, we found that each had battled hard and had slain the entire banderling army. We had won the day!

As we clapped one another on the back and caught our breath, we knew that we had all been joined together in brotherhood, as nothing forges a strong
