Quest Overview

This quest gives you 40,000+ luminance plus the Bloodstone life or war magic wands. You can hand in the wand for additional luminance if you are not a mage. This is an extremely difficult quest, with a fellowship of experienced players recommended.

Walk Through

1. Pick up the Carefully rolled scroll next to Battle Lord Gregor at the end of the Luminance Flagging Quest. Everyone must pick up a report.
2. Hand the Carefully rolled scroll to Kuyiza bint Zayi the Translator in Zaikhal for the Bloodstone Report.
3. Hand the Bloodstone Report to Sir Donovan, who is at 83.8N 4.3W next to the hut in the Gurog area.
4. Return to Battle Lord Gregor and use the Pillar on the wall to his right.
5. Work your way through the linear dungeon until you read Lord Kastellar. You will be fighting Wights, Gurog, and Bloodstones.
6. Kill Lord Kastellar and pick up Research Notes (Lord Kastellar).
7. Hand the Research Notes (Lord Kastellar) to Kuyiza bint Zayi the Translator in Zaikhal for the translated Research Notes (Lord Kastellar).
8. Head back to Sir Donovan and hand him the translated Research Notes (Lord Kastellar).
9. Proceed up the hill to the north and use the pillar inside.
10. Work your way through the dungeon. You will be fighting Wights, Gurog, and Bloodstones.
11. When you reach the large big room, head west and follow the passage down until it stops above a pit.
12. Inside the pit will be a Bloodstone Stockpile surrounded by a few Gurog Guardian, Wights, and Bloodstones. The Gurog are on a very fast respawn.
13. Have archers machine gun the Bloodstone Stockpile with acid attacks while the rest of your group distracts the mob.
14. Once the Bloodstone Stockpile is dead, a Master Bloodstone will spawn.
15. Kill the Master Bloodstone using bludgeoning attacks. Have everyone loot the Shattered Master Bloodstone Shard.
16. Hand the Shattered Master Bloodstone Shard to Sir Donovan for your rewards.

21:14:49 Sir Donovan tells you, "I'd expect, given the wording, that this pillar is somewhere close to this Battle Lord Gregor. I'd start my search there."
21:14:49 Sir Donovan tells you, "If nothing else, we at least need to shut down the creation of these Bloodstones."
21:14:49 Sir Donovan tells you, "This ritual they mention worries me. Anything that involves the Archons and Geraine bodes very ill for the rest of us."

22:06:32 Sir Donovan reads the first couple of pages, but shuts the book once it moves into the technical creation of the Bloodstones. 22:06:32 Sir Donovan tells you, "Sometimes, Kuyiza amazes me."

22:06:32 Sir Donovan tells you, "I can use this enchantment she noted to protect you from the wards on this facility. Since you've succeeded in finding everything so far, it's only proper I let you see this through."

22:06:33 Sir Donovan mumbles a few words, while tracing a finger through the transcribed array. Then he reaches out and touches your forehead. A jolt of power passes through your body, making your hands and feet go numb for a moment.
