Alchemy
Introduced in Beta, Alchemy allows you grind gems and stones in powders, create health and mana potions, and create oils to enhance fletching and cooking.
- In To Raise a Banner of Flame, Alchemy was updated with the ability to craft dispel potions out of Chorizite.
- In Twilight's Gleaming, Dyeing was introduced, a process that requires Alchemy in combination with Cooking.
- In The Changing of the Ways, Alchemy crafting was greatly improved with the addition of concentrated ingredients.
- In The Widening Gyre, Alchemy was updated with the ability to craft Trade Health Elixirs and Trade Mana Elixirs.
- In Into the Darkness, Alchemy was updated with the ability to craft gems which when used cast the protective and regenerative self spells of Life Magic.
- In Evolution, Alchemy was updated with the ability to craft Alchemical Throwing Phials which when thrown at a target cast the vulnerability spells of Life Magic.
Alchemy has had a long history in playing a role in quests, including the crafting of Atlan Weapons and Isparian Arms.

Cooking
Introduced in Beta, Cooking allows you to create a variety of foods which restore Stamina, and to apply special alchemy oils to certain foods to enhance their restorative properties and grant them the ability to restore Health and Mana.
- In Twilight's Gleaming, Dyeing was introduced, a process that requires Alchemy in combination with Cooking.
- In That Which Is Ours, Cooking was updated with the ability to cook Rations.
- In Throne of Destiny, Cooking was updated with the ability to brew Beers, some of which have high stamina restoration and others which cast spells to increase your primary Attributes.
- In Bridging the Vast Divide, Cooking was updated with the ability to cook Tiriun Mushroom Food, which has higher restorative properties than rations.
Cooking was often updated with new recipes in the earlier years of the game, including chocolate foods, mint foods, and ice cream.

Fletching
Introduced in Beta, Fletching allows you to craft Ammunition to use with Bows, Crossbows, and Thrown Weapons, and to apply special alchemy oils to arrow heads to grant them elemental damage and increase their damage.
- In The Changing of the Ways, Fletching was greatly improved with the addition of wrapped bundles of fletching supplies and concentrated alchemy ingredients.
- In Persuasion, Fletching was updated with the ability to craft Deadly Ammunition, which is superior to Greater Ammunition in damage.
- In Masked Memories, Fletching was updated with the addition of Wrapped Bundle of Greater Deadly Blunt Arrowheads and Wrapped Bundle of Olthoi Acid Arrowheads.

Lockpicking
Originally lockpicking was used only for unlocking doors and chests. However it has since been elevated to a crafting skill as well.
- In Spring's Sorrows, Lockpicking became a crafting skill with the ability to craft the Wooden, Copper, and Obsidian keys used to unlock Mnemosynes and the ability to craft Virindi Keys used to unlock their corresponding loot chests.
- In The Slumbering Giant, Lockpicking was updated with the addition of Granite and Marble keys and their corresponding loot chests in the Valley of Death.
- In That Which Is Ours, Lockpicking was updated with the ability to craft Keyrings used to hold multiple keys in a single item slot.

Tinkering
