Faded Message Shard

A message shard from the Curator of Torment's Study

Pretranslation Author: Unknown
Translator: Diyas al-Yat
Translator Speech:

You allow Diyas al-Yat to examine your Faded Message Shard.

You hand over 1 of your Faded Message Shards.

Diyas al-Yat tells you, "Interesting...very interesting."
Diyas grasps the Shard tightly. Suddenly he shrieks in pain and drops the Message Shard to the ground.
Diyas al-Yat tells you, "Did I say interesting? I meant disturbing. Disturbing and painful! It was almost as if I could feel the emotions of whatever twisted creature compiled this shard. Take this, it was the best I was able to do."

Diyas al-Yat gives you Translated Faded Message Shard.

Translated Faded Message Shard

A letter containing the translated text from the Faded Message Shard

Why do they continue to resist? How can they be content being flawed, misguided and simple? This world is ripe for my cleansing touch. The Council, most notably the Reaver of Dreams, reject my premise of perfection. How can they not see the grandeur of a world full of enlightened creatures leads to a paradise greater than any of these meat bags could ever hope? No matter. No longer will they hamper me.

Perhaps more drastic measures are needed. They must be shown, not told. Once the meddling Reaver is removed from the equation I can surely sway the Council's favor to follow my vision for perfection.

There will be costs. Some of these meat bags will become obsolete, but these costs are necessary. Any too stubborn, ignorant or flawed for enlightenment will be exterminated to assure their plague of mediocrity does not taint the worthy.
