Kryst is a small settlement situated on the Laesvos Island on the Vesayen Islands. It was founded by Zenzaburou Vanten the Archmage (or Zenzaburou Hensu?) and Vesayen Hylin as a refuge for escaped slaves during the Olthoi Enslavement.
The town founders insist on strict submission to the tenets of Jojiism and the Code of Pwyll, which was unacceptable for MacNiall the Unruled, who then founded MacNiall's Freehold.
The current wearabouts of Vesayen Hylin are unknown.
Since Patch, a large group of Aluvian Spearman and other guards patrols the beach.

- The two texts concerning the history of the Vesayen Islands name different founders for Kryst. The History of Kryst names Zenzaburou Vanten the Archmage and Vesayen Hylin, the History of Vesayen Isles names Zenzaburou Hensu and Vesayen Hylin as the founders.

Before the portal opened in Shoushi, the quickest way to Kryst was via the Vesayen Isles Portal near Bandit Castle or Mayoi.
