Composite Crossbow with Handle Value: 375 1,920 Burden Units Special Properties: Armor Cleaving, Cast on Strike Uses quarrels as ammunition. Bonus to Melee Defense: +12.0% Your base {{{Weapon Skill}}} must be at least 240 to wield this item. Casts the following spells: Brittlemail VI, Defender VI, Honed Control, Swift Killer VI, Barnar's Boon, Infected Caress Activation Requirements: Arcane Lore: 170 Spellcraft: 250 Mana: 500 / 500 Mana Cost: 1 point per 20 seconds. This item cannot be sold.

In the Come What Follows event (September 2006) three new handles were introduced. The handles can be applied to any Composite Bow or Composite Crossbow. It is highly recommended to use the best Composite Bow possible for these handles. The bow does not need an existing handle to be upgraded.

Bonus to Melee Defense: +13.5% This item can only be wielded by <Player>. Your base {{{Weapon Skill}}} must be at least 305 to wield this item. Casts the following spells: Tattercoat, Atlan's Alacrity, Web of Defense, Boon of Refinement, Minor Coordination, Web of Resistance, Barnar's Boon, Infected Caress, Cragstone's Will Activation Requirements: Arcane Lore: 190 Spellcraft: 313 Mana: 800 / 800 Mana Cost: 1 point per 20 seconds.

Composite Crossbow with Superb Handle Value: 375 1,200 Burden Units Special Properties: Crushing Blow, Armor Cleaving, Cast on Strike Uses quarrels as ammunition. Bonus to Melee Defense: +15.5% This item can only be wielded by <Player>. Your base {{{Weapon Skill}}} must be at least 335 to wield this item. Casts the following spells: Tattercoat, Atlan's Alacrity, Web of Defense, Boon of Refinement, Major Coordination, Web of Resistance, Barnar's Boon, Minor Crossbow Aptitude, Infected Caress, Cragstone's Will Activation Requirements: Arcane Lore: 225 Spellcraft: 400 Mana: 1000 / 1000 Mana Cost: 1 point per 20 seconds.
