Forbidden Chest

Quest Overview

You need lockpick to access the room with the Forbidden Chests.

Walk Through

• Optional Purchase the Forbidden Note from Bael'Zharon in the Greater Battle Dungeon.

1. First you must get a Shadow Fragment or Pyreal Bar to be given access to the Forbidden Catacombs.
2. After you have the item you will also need to turn player killer by using one of the Altars of Bael'Zharon.
3. Once you're PK make your way to a Small Creepy Statue that can be found in various towns including Xarabydun (41.8S, 15.9E) and Yaraq (21.2S, 1.7W).
4. Double click the statue to enter the Greater Battle Dungeon and make your way down to the red area with Bael'Zharon and Guardian of the Forbidden. Go up the ramp to the Guardian and hand your item to it.
5. You will be portaled in to a room with a The Black Breath and 8 destroyable Doors.
6. Each of the doors lead to rooms with various high level creatures (see Forbidden Catacombs.
7. To reach the second level of the catacombs head north west to the room with Drudge Cabalists and Peerless Drudges and jump into the room below.
8. On the second floor you will find a room similiar to the one at the beginning, but this time with two Black Breaths.
9. On this floor you will find more rooms with destructible doors except there are also creatures in the tunnels. Forbidden Keys are randomly dropped by creatures on this level.
10. Once you have a key head south east until you reach a door guarded by two Platinum Golems, behind this door is a pit leading to the third floor.
11. Once you jump down, either head right to the final pit or left into a dead end filled with monsters such as Virindi Consuls and Creeping Marguls.
12. Jump down the pit into an area with a stone statue of Bael'Zharon, head up the stairs and around to a locked door overlooking a room with the Forbidden Chests.
13. There are no creatures in this room, however, once you jump down Drudge Cabalists and Platinum Golems will drop from the room above.
14. Use the key on one of the chests for your rewards.

Warning If you die in this dungeon you will not be able to return without handing the Guardian another Shadow Fragment or Pyreal Bar.
