Random Dires portals flagging

Testing various flags for randomly spawning direlands Resonant Portal with a character that has never done any of the Mar'uun/Crystalline Crag related content

doing nothing:

There is no response from the portal.
The portal seems to be out of phase.

Entering former Mar'uun portal (now a Resonant Portal):

worked, able to enter random resonant portal

You've earned 1,000,000 experience.
Test Portal teleports you with Portal Space Eddy.
Portal Space Eddy teleports you with Test Portal.

Anyone else get this response? I used the Resonant Portal before I went to Mar'uun and got a different response from the NPCs and the Test Portal sent me to the Portal Space Eddy rather than straight to the upper platform. I wasn't expecting it so I didn't get a good look around or any screenshots because it portaled me back to Mar'uun pretty quick.

If anyone has an characters not yet flagged they can test this out. I swear with my first character that went the Resonant Portal first on patch day didn't get get portaled to the Eddy (he was level 260). My level 206 Bow guy did get portaled though. I'm not sure what the difference is between them.

Bugged?

I don't know about anyone else, but when I tried to enter the random Resonant Portal after my first week was up, I was still stuck in the first week of the time shifted Mar'uun.

There may be bugs and timer issues associated, but I do think making sure you do everything while you're in there is important your first go.

I don't know if it had anything to do with it, but using the Test Portal next to Marcus and Wren gave me XP and portaled me to the destroyed Mar'uun. That would be the only 'odd' thing I did while I was in there, I think, except perhaps that I accidentally let the dialog box time out the first time I tried to talk to Marcus.

Could that have led to my time lock? Bill Murray style? --Flenop 01:07, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

my guess is that for whatever reason you did not do whatever was required to get the "You think you have already done everything you can here for now. It seems like a good idea to check back in a week's time." dialog, which would flag you for next weeks content. Did you ever try using a resonant portal before you thought your timer was up? --An Adventurer 01:55, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
