I wasn't able to find a way to get more than two images to overlap in a way that would still function for coordinate translation in a straightforward way so I'm working on having the template be able to specify full map or quarter map and also point size (small or large) so it can better deal with single points or lots of close together points. Thanks for finding the issue so fast, it'll make it easier to fix. Oh and I really like your main user page, very nice. --Tlosk 04:00, 18 January 2009 (CST)
That suggestion proved to be quite propitious. There are some quirks to the way, or more accurately the order, of element rendering in the wiki engine that make some things that would otherwise be simple just about impossible or verbose to the point of making things 10 times longer to code than would otherwise be the case. I don't have any formal training and just pick things up as I need them to do something, which means that sometimes there's a simple way to do something but I just haven't come across it before. In thinking about the best way to do a mix of named and unnamed parameters (to allow a variety of markers) I chanced across a way to do this that is much much simpler, and will also allow markers to overlap and have captions (so if there are multiple markers you can hover your mouse over it and the name/description will popup).

Mainly I just wanted to let you know that I'm working on a more robust template now and the syntax is likely to change so you might want to hold off adding it to any more pages for the moment. And if you think of anything else to add let me know. Also do you think 1/4 maps would be sufficient or would there be any benefit in going to 16ths? There's some examples of the quarters as well as overlapping markers (and the hover captions) at the bottom of Template:Sandbox for you to look at. Also if you have a concrete idea on what you want the markers to look like you let me know. If not I have some ideas. --Tlosk 14:42, 18 January 2009 (CST)

I added all the dispels to the sandbox, and also finished off the positive redirects. You might want to double check that it looks right, but I think the dispels will fit in nicely with your redirect format. --Atarax 11:21, 9 January 2009 (CST)
