The Fenmalain Gate

Quest Overview

Originally, this was a quest that involved one of the discovered Soul Crystals that imprisoned Bael'Zharon. After the crystal was located, a battle ensued within the Fenmalain Chamber between Ler Rhan's Shadow forces and followers of Anadil of Shakrassekor to take control of the crystal.
In the end, the crystal was destroyed by Isparian players and on its corpse were Soul Gems that were used to create unique crystal items. It has since been replaced with a weaker replica that drops less powerful gems.

Walkthrough

1. Retrieve a Fenmalain Key from either low-stakes Gambling, or as a trophy from Shadows and Shadow Children. The Devious Shadows found in the vestibule also randomly drop the key.
2. Run from Baishi to the Fenmalain Vestibule at 46.9S, 55.2E. (lvl 20+)
   • Route: From Baishi take the West Baishi Settlement portal at 50.1S, 63.5E.
3. When inside the vestibule, take either a left or right to the next room and then again while ignoring the middle passage. After that, just keep heading down on the same path.
4. Upon making it to the end of the first part, use the Fenmalain Key on the Fenmalain Gate to receive a portal gem to the next dungeon. If you've collected many keys, this is a good way to stock up on instant portal gems for quick getaways.
5. Make your way to the end of the second dungeon and kill the Fenmalain Crystal, it will drop 5 gems at a time.

Notes

• During the Should the Stars Fall event, the value was reduced on the crystal rewards to lessen the chance of losing them. Fenmalain Keys were also now no longer Attuned.
• During the A Perfect Paradox event, it became possible to receive a Fenmalain Crystal Atlatl by handing your crystal bow back to Gersan the Sureshot.
• During the A Small Victory event, the Vestibule dungeons were revised with higher level creatures and a new level restriction. The bow and orb also received an upgrade.
• During the Foolish Ambition event, an experience reward was added for turning in the Fenmalain Gem.
• During the Filling in the Blanks event, the experience reward increased from 476,330xp (20% up to level 40) to 1,000,000xp.
