Loot tier refers to the overall level of quality and usefulness of items that can be generated and placed on creatures' corpses. The higher the loot tier, the higher quality the loot. There are currently 8 tiers of loot in Asheron's Call, with the 8th tier being added in the 100th update Ancient Powers.
