Character and Background
- During the invasion of the town of Daralet by Yalaini soldiers, Omadin the Farmer accompanied Ilservian Palacost when he was banned from the village. [1]
- Omadin is described as "a rough farm boy embittered by the starvation of his entire clan". [1]
- Bael'Zharon's forces assault the Empire's holdings in the Haebrous continent. The Yalaini forces lead a desperate retreat from the Haebrous lands. Omadin lead an assault on the Yalaini rearguard as it withdrew from Haebrous, scattering it like chaff and scything through the weakly defended trains. Emperor Caerlin I and his forces jumped into the breach, and there fought in single combat against Omadin. Seeing his defeat imminent, Omadin called to himself the Black Madness. Omadin was defeated and slain, but not before he infected the emperor with the Black Madness at the very moment his head was released from his body. [2]
- Three of the other companions of Ilservian Palacost, Isin Dule, Ferah and Ler Rhan survive the Third Sending of Darkness, the fifth, Elithra of Daralet is destroyed just like Omadin.
