Quest Clues
Asheron
You tell Asheron, "Viridian Rise"
Asheron tells you, "I did indeed spend time studying this place. In ages past it was called the Viridian Rise. It may seem that it has sprung forth overnight, but in reality the Deru trees are all hidden by extremely strong illusions and wards. Something has disrupted one of the great trees."
Asheron tells you, "Someone will have to enter this place and find out what happened."
Asheron fixes his stare on you expectantly.
Asheron tells you, "The ritual to enter the Viridian Rise is hidden in the guardian statues. I do not know the ritual order, but my studies did reveal the following:"
Asheron tells you, "Each guardian must be invoked in order, and only once. The ritual begins with Oak and ends with Ash."
Asheron tells you, "I can sense that other beings skilled in magic have also studied the area. Perhaps you can find them and convince them to share their findings with you."

Ulgrim the Unpleasant
You tell Ulgrim the Unpleasant, "Viridian Rise"
Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "Why are you bothering ME about the Viridian Rise? Oh yeah, something attacked that Deru and the tree sent out unhealthy amounts of magic. Everything there is growing like crazy, and even the guardians are a bit... off because of it. Probably too tough for someone like you. I went up there looking for good ingredients for a new mead. Found the guardian statues, and figured out two things."
Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "Spruce follows directly after Pine."
Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "Maple follows directly after Willow."
Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "Yeah, good luck with that."

Shade of Lady Adja
You tell Shade of Lady Adja, "Viridian Rise"
Shade of Lady Adja tells you, "Yes, the Virdian Rise. I have wandered that place in my visions. The magics of the wounded Deru endanger us. It expends too much of the world's magic, and the guardians have become infused by it. They must be... culled before the forest spreads. It saddens me, but there is no other way that I know of to prevent the tree's growth from overwhelming all in its path."
Shade of Lady Adja tells you, "Know that the Guardian of Yew must be invoked at some point after the Guardian of Pine."
Shade of Lady Adja tells you, "If you earn your entrance into that place, then follow the crowned ancients. They will mark your path."

Isin Dule
You tell Isin Dule, "Viridian Rise"
Isin Dule tells you, "Yes, I sensed a darkness attack one of the elder trees. Something corrupt gnaws at the roots of the great tree. When I investigated the area I found the guardians. Although their ritual is hidden from my eyes, my research did reveal the following about the magics of those guardians."
Isin Dule tells you, "The Guardian of Spruce must be invoked at some point after the Guardian of Willow."

You find pages with indecipherable magical notes and symbols. You recognize two things among the magical glyphs, however. The first is the mark of Asheron. The second is a phrase or name written on the pages:
Viridian Rise

The eyes of the statue briefly burn with blue flame.

You feel as though you are cleansed of the magics of the Guardians and can begin the ritual from the beginning.

As you finish the ritual of the Viridian Guardians blue fire emblazons a Mark of the Guardian on your hand! As the flame and mark fade you realize you have learned the magic necessary to enter the Viridian Rise.

The mark of the Viridian Guardians briefly burns with blue flame.

The statue seems to be recharging its energies.
