Turbine Announcements

This was the elemental invasion patch. All landscape creatures were medium to high level elementals. Many regard this one as one of the worst in AC history. Outdoor hunting was extremely difficult for any new players.

Atonement Video Teaser

Gaerlan attempts to raise the Harbinger using Nuhmudira as a vessel but fails due to her prior escape. The energy from the failed summoning destroys the town of Yanshi. Meanwhile Borelean goes to Martine and convinces him to save Asheron.

- Covenant Armor has been introduced.
- Changes to Armor coverages and weapon wield requirements have been made. See the Letter to the Players for details.
Quest System
- Quests now have visible timers that appear in the chat window.

New Quests

Live Events

2002/08 - The Elemental Cisterns - Between August 17th and September 16th, level restricted portal to the Cistern Cores appeared in different towns. The final dungeon to the Lightning Core was PK restricted and players got to choose whether to help Gaerlan and defend the core, or work with the attackers to destroy it. The attacking team included dev controlled characters such as Martine, Elysa, Lord Kresovus and Aun Hareltah.

At Dryreach a portal into the Heart of the Lightning Cistern has opened.

Updated Quests

Hollow Weapons Quest - Deadly daggers, staves and katars can now be created. Increased damage on all weapons.
Ravenous Weapons Quest - Can now be upgraded to create Phantom Weapons.

Gaerlan's Citadel - Moved location, now found south of Bandit Castle
Yanshi - Now destroyed, most NPCs moved to a camp nearby.
