In order to start this quest, you must have completed the Investigate the Factions quest, which allows you to preview each faction.

Walk Through

1. Head to Zaikhal and talk to Ayesha of the Radiant Blood @ 12.8N 0.7E
2. Head to the Corrupted Catacombs (Sawato) @ 23.9S, 54.1E (Near Sawato). If you will be taking a group, you can tie to Swamp Ruin at 25.1S 52.1E to make a much shorter run.
3. The place is somewhat of a maze so you might have to backtrack. Run through the dungeon (look for down ramps) until you find a Slimy Key on the ground in a room with pillars. The route from the drop is straight at first intersection, right on next, then left. Keep right hand rule until a ramp down into a room with pillars, and go left (South) here and look for more ramps down.
4. From here head back up in the dungeon and look for a locked door (660 diff). The door isn't far past a surface portal in the area with Sclavus. If you have run through the Swamp Ruin portal, it might be easier to recall and re-enter the dungeon. The route from the drop is straight at first intersection, right on next, then left. Keep right hand rule until a ramp down into a room with pillars, and go straight (West) here into the sclavus part. From there, there a few dead ends or circles, but once you find the portal, go straight and there is the door.
5. Once through the door, grab a Corrupted Mana Shard from the pedestal.
6. Return the shard to Ayesha of the Radiant Blood to be initiated into the Radiant Blood faction.

Note: Once initiated, you can now use the portal to the Radiant Blood Stronghold located next to Ayesha.

Lore & Dialog

Ayesha of the Radiant Blood looks at some notes on a scroll.
Ayesha of the Radiant Blood tells you, "I see that you have aided Jondor Torgren in Zaikhal and met with our recruiter in Ayan Baqur to receive a copy of our manifesto."
Ayesha of the Radiant Blood tells you, "If you wish to join our Society, then I have a task for you, to prove your commitment. In the swamps of middle Osteth there is a cave. In that cave is the entrance to the Corrupted Catacombs. If you search around 23.9S, 54.1E, you should find the entrance."
Ayesha of the Radiant Blood tells you, "In those catacombs, you'll find a Corrupted Mana Shard. Retrieve the Shard and bring it to me, and your test will be complete."
Ayesha of the Radiant Blood tells you, "Be warned, once you have the Shard, it'll be rather unstable, and will last only an hour before it turns to dust. I'll cast a spell on you that will protect you from the corruption of the Shard. I wouldn't recommend touching it without the protections."
Ayesha of the Radiant Blood chants briefly, and then touches your brow.
Ayesha of the Radiant Blood tells you, "There, you should now be able to carry the Corrupted Mana Shard safely."
