Talk:Currency
Spectral Ingots are used in the same way as the other alternative currencies, so they should be listed.
As long as the items available for purchase are presented in the same way on both the currency and NPC pages... create templates for each set of items available for purchase (Template:Ancient Mhoire Coin Items, Template:Colosseum Coin Items, Template:Hero Token Items, Template:Paradox-touched Olthoi Venom Sac Items, Template:Spectral Ingot Items, etc). List the items on those pages -- the templates are just like regular wiki pages as far as editing goes. Then, just use {{Ancient Mhoire Coin Items}} on the pages where you want to list the items. (I'm not sure what the best practice as far as naming the templates will be, but they can always be renamed later.)
We're using a simple template on the patch pages now, for the previous/next patch links, if you want to see another example. --Widgeon 11:55, 20 September 2008 (CDT)
Another thing to think about... Should items that can be bought be listed on alternative currency pages at all? This goes along with the Talk:NPC Template discussion. All vendors should list their inventory, regardless of what currency they use. But, do we need to list it on both pages? I can see the benefit of having it listed in the 2 places people would look for it, but theres the possibility of the pages not both being up-to-date. I'd suggest that we possibly just link to the NPC's page? Something like this:
Hero Token | |
Value: 0 1 Burden Units |
|
A golden token.

- These tokens are commonly distributed at the completion of live events.
- Pickup timer is 24 hours.
- Does not stack.
- See Pevilo ibn Djimin for items available for purchase with Hero Tokens

Should we include the Spectral Ingot as alternative currency? --An Adventurer 15:19, 19 September 2008 (CDT)
I think we should merge Alternative Currency into the currency page. All alternative currencies should follow the Hero Token model of listing the items you can purchase with them on that currency's page. --An Adventurer 10:24, 19 September 2008 (CDT)
