Quest Overview

This quest involves collecting different parts from Tumerok clans and then combining them to build a banner weapon or caster device; the completed banner can also be turned in for xp and other rewards.

When the quest was introduced during the Crests of a Turbulent Sea event, the banner parts were found on Virindi controlled Tumerok clans that were invading different parts of Dereth. However, in a later event the clans were moved in to six dungeons near Dryreach.

Walkthrough

  1. Optional: Purchase the rumor A Call To Arms from various barkeeps.
  2. Use the tables below to determine what banner you require and the appropriate training camp for its components.
  3. Head to each of the Tumerok Training Camps from Dryreach.
  4. Inside each clan's dungeon are five different types of Tumerok that each drop a particular component for the banner.
  5. Tumerok Standard Bearers drop the banner signs, Commanders drop the spearheads and symbols, and Controllers drop the crests. The lighter colored hafts are dropped by Tumerok Lieutenants and the darker colored reinforced hafts are dropped by Tumerok Majors.
  6. Each component changes what type of banner it becomes; for example, spear-head tipped banners are spear weapons, the symbol-tipped banners are wands and crest-tipped banners are spears with very low damage. The crested weapons can be turned in for an Assault Weapon (see table below).
  7. Once you have a complete banner take it to an Army Recruiter in either of three capital towns for your rewards.
  8. Hafted banners, unhafted banners and also Tumerok Insignia can be given into the recruiters for various xp rewards.
  9. If you have any spare unhafted banners and do not want the 5,000 xp for them, they can be given to house decorators for framing into a house item:

Notes

  • There were originally only four Assault weapons available when this quest was introduced. Tokens were handed out by the Army Recruiters in place of the missing weapons. When the other 7 weapons were made available during A Gathering of Colors the original tokens could be given in for yet another token as a joke by the developers.

Patch Notes

  • During the A Gathering of Colors event, the original gems of worth were replaced with portal gems to the three Casinos and the remaining Assault Weapons were added as rewards.
  • During the A Perfect Paradox, it became possible to get the unhafted banners framed into a house item by the furniture crafters.
  • During the Discoveries event, various quest bugs were fixed.
  • During the Gaining Ground event, the Assault Greatsword was added.
  • During the Cloak of Darkness event, the reward of 5 high-stakes tokens for each crested banner was changed to a single low-stakes token as part of the Casino update.
