Walk Through

Officially, you must have completed the Lunnum's Pyre, and subsequently, Thief of Lunnum quests to finish this quest.
However, at least the first part (getting the Recipe) is doable without finishing these, but Fiun Layeel will tell you to help his friend Gaya first. He does, however, accept the Recipe, and tell you the lines below. Unclear is if you are flagged for the second part

Preferred weapons: cold & fire

Quick Walk Through

Starting Point

Talk to Fiun Layeel. He will ask you to get some recipe for blue face paint. He will give you a hint where it can be found: Nuhmudira's Mansion.

Blue Face Paint Recipe

Nuhmudira's Mansion is best reached by taking the Devana settlement portal at [2.2N, 50.4E] in Lytelthorpe and to run to [4.0S, 35.9E]. Instead of a normal mansion dungeon portal, this mansion holds a recallable, but not summonable portal to Nuhmudira's Dungeon.

To get access to the "Warehouse", go to one of the NW rooms, there will be a Bookcase, just opposite the room with lots of crates. This bookcase shows by ID-ing that it is a non-recallable, non-summonable portal (restricted 120+), and gives access to another dungeon, simply called Bookcase.

Portal in, go down the ramp, and start killing Sclavus and the crates.
The deadly force of your attack is so strong that Storage Crate's ancestors feel it!
You obliterate Storage Crate!
The crate explodes!
(Some of the Storage Crates explode doing elemental attacks, watch it if you're a melee)
Keep killing until one the crates drops the Recipe. (The crates are immune to Arc spells.) No special message, just watch out for it to drop on the ground.

You give Fiun Layeel Blue Face Paint Recipe.
Layeel takes the recipe and reads it.
Fiun Layeel tells you, "This isn't enough to directly tie Nuhmudira to the theft of Lunnum, but I may be able to use this to scry for places this note has been."
Layeel holds the recipe to his chest and slowly turns around chanting something unintelligible beneath his breath. His eyes grow hazy and unfocused and he slows to a stop facing east.
Fiun Layeel tells you, "I have scryed a strong connection to a place located in the eastern end of the Osteth Mountain Range. Travel to 84.3N 24.7E and seek out what lies there."
Fiun Layeel tells you, "I have one more favor to ask of you. If you find that Lunnum's corpse has been desecrated in any way I would have you destroy it rather than see it returned to Fiun Gaya in such a state. Better that he never sees such a sight."

Temple Entrance

The easiest route here is to use a Celdiseth's Portal Gem then run southeast. Alternatively take Dagger Vale portal east of Arwic at 32.9N 59.4E then run east to the Temple Entrance at 84.3N 24.7. Inside are mostly high level sclavus. From the drop, stick left then it's linear to the end.

At the end you'll need to kill Patrician Kilkitris and Patrician Phaerix for keys that open wooden doors to get to levers. Once past these lever doors there is no way to reopen them. Kill Lunnum and loot a key to use on her globe shaped golden chest in the corner. She is very high health and casts debilitating spells, and can dispel both herself and players.

Inside the chest are Lunnum's Token, Fiun Crown, and Black Skull of Xikma. Return to Fiun Outpost and give the token to Fiun Layeel. You can also give him the crown if you don't want it for xp. The skull is ready to use on a weapon or caster to add the Undead Slayer property. When repeating the quest, you will not need to redo the first two quests, you can go immediately to Fiun Layeel and begin with the blue face paint. If you have never killed Andrilos as part of the Thief of Lunnum you will earn a flat 20 Million xp bonus (not level based).

Lore & Dialog

There is a divergent choice to make during the prerequisite quest, Thief of Lunnum. You can either kill Andrilos or not kill him. Not killing him results in a higher xp reward each time you do Search for Lunnum.

If you killed Andrilos:

You give Fiun Layeel Lunnum's Token.
Fiun Layeel tells you, "It is a shame what became of Lunnum. Thank you for your help in uncovering the truth of her disappearance."
Fiun Layeel tells you, "I wish that you had not killed that innocent man Andrilos. May you take this as a lesson that people should not be judged without a sound body of evidence. Vigilantism is blood thirst masquerading as justice."
You've earned 100,000,000 experience.
Fiun Layeel tells you, "Say nothing of our investigation to Gaya. We all miss Lunnum, but Gaya's morbid obsession has cost us too much and it ends here."

If you did not kill Andrilos:

You give Fiun Layeel Lunnum's Token.
Fiun Layeel tells you, "It is a shame what became of Lunnum. Thank you for your help in uncovering the truth of her disappearance."
You've earned 100,000,000 experience.
Fiun Layeel tells you, "You showed wisdom and compassion by not taking the Huntsman Andrilos's life. I wish to further reward you for your understanding and control."
You've earned 20,000,000 experience.
Fiun Layeel tells you, "Say nothing of our investigation to Gaya. We all miss Lunnum, but Gaya's morbid obsession has cost us too much and it ends here."
Fiun Layeel tells you, "Thank you for finally finding what became of Lunnum. Do no tell Fiun Gaya of her undeath, I fear he would be unable to deal with the truth. It is better he should keep the pyre burning in her memory. Perhaps you could visit him and provide him some solace by helping him keep his pyre."
