Welcome to the Asheron's Call: Throne of Destiny Preview!
An important part of this preview is determining how you, the player, feels about all this new content we've spent so much time building, particularly the content at the higher levels. You're going to want to play around with the various quests and monsters we've designed for level 80, 140, 180, and even 200+ characters. In order to do that, you're going to need to earn some XP!
PURCHASING XP
The first thing you need to do is purchase a Level Token from the Turbine Vendor. When you purchase a token, hand it to me and I will give you some XP (I'm the girl with the bull on her head). But make sure you hand me the proper token, because I will only award you with XP one time! After that, I will not accept any more Level Tokens from you. Of course, you can always just create a whole new character and repeat the process. In fact, that's a great idea! After all, you do want to experience this expansion pack at all levels of play, don't you?
When I award you with XP, I'm not just setting your level to a certain value. I'm actually just giving you a bundle of XP. Each token tells you how much XP I will give you in exchange for that token. I assume that you are a fresh-faced Level 5 straight out of the Academy. The amount of XP I give you is based around that assumption. If you are higher than level 5 when you give me your token, then I am still going to give you the same amount of XP as if you were level 5.
PURCHASING EQUIPMENT AND SPELLS
After I reward you with XP, I will also give you some MMD notes. Spend this money well! The Turbine Vendor sells a great assortment of various quest armor and weapons that should help get you started in your adventures. He also sells a truckload of Level 7 spells! Spend some time outfitting yourself before you head off into the wilds, lest you get knocked back to the lifestone by the first Ruschk Kartak you come across!
