Quest Overview

This quest is the seventh and final quest in the Shadow Invasion Quest Chain. Unlike the other quests in the series, this quest has a normal 20 hour timer and can be repeated.

There are 2 ways to complete this quest. Both give the same rewards and neither gives any titles. Completing the quest for one side does not force you to complete only that side in the future. You can choose which way to complete the quest each time it is repeated.

Walk Through

Isin Dule Task

1. Go to Arwic and talk to Isin Dule (twice). He will tell you to go kill 4 Shadow Engineers.
2. Run from Tou-Tou to The Shadows at 29.5S, 94.2E.
3. Inside The Shadows you will find the usual shadow spawns in addition to Shadow Engineers throughout the dungeon. There are three spawn locations for the Engineer in this dungeon. The Engineer will rotate through the locations. All of the locations are near the entrance to the room with Ler Rhan.

   South of Ler Rhan.

   C shaped room.

   Near Ler Rhan's room, outside the east hallway.

4. The other three engineers are located at random locations inside each of the caves for the Dark Recordings quest.

   27.4S, 95.3E - Shadow Cave

   28.9S, 96.1E - Shadow Cave

   28.3S, 96.9E - Shadow Cave

5. After killing all four Engineers, talk with Isin Dule for your reward.
   • Note that each engineer is its own killtask so for each one you kill you will get the following message (it doesn't increment 1-4 as you might think): You have killed 1 Shadow Engineers! Your task is complete!
     

Ler Rhan Task

1. Run through The Shadows at 29.5S, 94.2E to reach Ler Rhan.
2. You will be instructed to pick up four "Attunement Device" items - one within the crystal room inside The Shadows and the other three within the caves around Tou-Tou. All of them spawn on the ground and respawn again within a couple of minutes at varying locations within each cave.
   • The Attunement Crystal appears in a random Strange Crystal room within the dungeon.
   • The Attunement Device Bolt is in the 27.4S, 95.3E - Shadow Cave (Top)
   • The Attunement Device Gear is in the 28.9S, 96.1E - Shadow Cave (Middle) Take the first left down.
   • The Attunement Device Spring is in the 28.3S, 96.9E - Shadow Cave (Bottom).
3. Return to Ler Rhan and hand over the Attunement Device Bolt for rewards.
   • Note: Ler Rhan won't accept the other items, but you must have them for him to accept the bolt.
