Quest Overview

The Shadow Invasion Quest Chain is a series of 7 quests which span the timeframe from the Hidden In Shadows event to the Cloak of Darkness event, culminating with the destruction of Tou Tou. The quests must be completed in order, with all but the last quest in the series being available only "once per character". You must wait out a timer (now 20 hours) after each quest before starting the next in the series.

Somewhat similar to the Faction Quests, there 2 ways to complete each quest in the series, based on which "side" (Isin Dule or Black Ferah/Ler Rhan) you want to assist. However you choose to complete each quest has no impact on how you can complete the other quests in the series. It only effects which title reward you will receive for that quest, the dialog text you will receive from NPCs, and possibly the final title received after completing 6 of the quests (randomly determined). The 7th and final quest in the series is the only one which can be repeated. You can choose to repeat it for either side as many times as desired. There is no title reward for the final quest.

After completing the first 6 quests in the series, you will receive a random title (1 of 6) by talking to Isin Dule prior to starting the 7th quest. The exact mechanics of this title reward are unknown, but there is definitely a randomness factor included. One theory is that completing 5 or 6 of the 6 quests for one particular side will randomly grant a title related to that side ("Hero of the Night" or "Duleing with the Dark" for Isin Dule's side, "The Tou Tou Terror" or "Creature of Chaos" for Ler Rhan's side). Completing 3 quests for each side, or 2 for one and 4 for the other will randomly grant one of the non-side specific titles ("Conspirator" or "Double Agent"). Since the quests are only once per character, these theories have not been determined conclusively.

Due to the "once per character" timer on the first 6 quests, it can be difficult to form any kind of group to do these quests. You must coordinate with other characters who have not yet done the quests and must complete them at the same time. This is particularly significant for the 3rd quest in the series, Fate of Bael'Zharon, which basically requires a minimum of 2 people to complete the Blach Ferah side of the quest. The Isin Dule side is also very difficult, but can be completed solo using a Resister's Crystal. All other quests in the series can be completed solo with a medium to moderate difficulty level.

Go there and destroy several of the Shadow Vortex which have moved in around the edges of the town." Siding with Black Ferah; Black Ferah tells you, "We have setup forces at the edge of town." Black Ferah tells you, "Find the Shadow Captain and provide her with any assistance she needs."
