Quest Overview
This quest is the sixth quest in the Shadow Invasion Quest Chain. This quest can only be completed once per character.
There are 2 ways to complete this quest, with the only difference in rewards being the title awarded. Which title you choose is entirely optional and does not have any known impact/effect on the rest of the quest chain.
Completing this quest allows you to do the next quest in the series, Stop the Rebuilding, after a 20 hour timer expires.
Walk Through
Isin Dule's Task
- Speak to Isin Dule in Arwic to begin. He will direct you to investigate a new portal that has appeared in the town.
- Enter the Shadow Vortex nearby at 28.1S, 95.5E. It is a shadowy portal and must be clicked on to enter.
- Kill 5 of the 6 townsfolk (Bai-Nu Ru the Weaponsmith, Armorer Xao Fen, Rou Beh the Bowyer, Jeweler Lo Dai-Ou, Mi Chi the Barkeep, Healer Rili Sou) and 10 of the shadows. There is a kill task for each that will tell you how many you have killed.
- Return to Isin Dule and speak with him for your rewards and the title "Merciful Killer".
- After completing this quest, talking to Isin Dule will grant you a random title (see Shadow Invasion Quest Chain for more details).
Black Ferah's Task
- Flag with Black Ferah outside the Summoning Cave at 29.2S 95.8E.
- Enter the Shadow Vortex nearby at 28.1S, 95.5E. Note that this is the same portal as for Isin Dule's task, but will portal you to a different dungeon if you flagged with Black Ferah instead of Isin Dule.
- Kill 15 Soldiers inside the dungeon.
- Return to Black Ferah for your rewards and the title "Soul Siphon".
- After completing this quest, talking to Isin Dule will grant you a random title (see Shadow Invasion Quest Chain for more details).
