Quest Overview
This is the second quest in the Shadow Invasion Quest Chain. You must have completed Shadow Communication prior to starting this quest. This quest can only be completed once per character.
Completing this quest allows you to do the next quest in the series, Fate of Bael'Zharon.
Walk Through
- Speak to Isin Dule (in Arwic), and he will give you a Message from Isin Dule to Asheron.
- Warning: If you do not speak to him you can get stuck in an uncompletable state where you cannot turn in your crystal (he will say he does not know what to do with that).
- Enter The Shadows at 29.5S, 94.2E in Tou-Tou.
- Make your way to the Strange Crystal. It is located in a small room on the west side of the dungeon. See the map for details. You will need to kill void objects which block the pathways to get there.
- Use the Crystal to obtain the Strange Purple Crystal from The Shadows.
- You now have 2 options for completing the quest:
- Option 1: Travel to Asheron's Castle and give Asheron the Message from Isin Dule to Asheron. He will take the crystal also and give you experience, luminance, MMDs, and the title "Illuminating the Shadows".
- Option 2: Return to Tou Tou and give Black Ferah the Message from Isin Dule to Asheron. He will take the crystal also and give you experience, luminance, MMDs, and the title "Undercover of Darkness".

Message if you are still on timer:
Isin Dule tells you, "The kingdom thanks you for the information you have given us."
Isin Dule tells you, "We are discussing over our plans to deal with this and will let you know more in the future."
Isin Dule tells you, "I need for you to go back into the Shadow Spire near Tou-Tou and gather one of the purple crystals they seem to be collecting there."
Isin Dule tells you, "Bring the crystal to Asheron along with this note so he understands the situation."
Isin Dule tells you, "This information must reach Asheron."
Isin Dule gives you Message from Isin Dule to Asheron.
You allow Black Ferah to examine your Message from Isin Dule to Asheron.
Black Ferah tells you, "I don't have time for such things right now. Bring it to Ler Rhan. I'm sure he can pull some useful information from it."
Strange Crystal gives you Strange Purple Crystal from The Shadows.
You chip off a piece of crystal
You allow Asheron to examine your Message from Isin Dule to Asheron.
You hand over all of your Message from Isin Dule to Asherons.
You hand over all of your Strange Purple Crystals from The Shadows.
Asheron reads the note and then examines the crystal briefly.
Asheron tells you, "This is troubling news indeed."
Asheron tells you, "I will get to work on studying this crystal right away. Thank you for bringing me this."
You've earned 350,000,000 experience.
You've earned 30,000 Luminance.
You have been awarded the title of Illuminating the Shadows.
Asheron gives you Fortified Mana Forge Key.
Notes
- The creatures in the dungeon drain and cast nether spells. A Resister's Crystal helps if you want to solo this quest
