Town Crier tells you, "Five Seers have made their presence known with the return of the Empyreans. For those who are strong enough, they can find the first Seer, Nalicana, in Asheron's Castle."

Town Crier tells you, "Those with the skill to wield the darkness of the world as a school of magic have entered the world. Scriveners of this new Void Magic can be found in many towns throughout Dereth."

Town Crier tells you, "Strange creatures, who call themselves Gurog, have appeared in the mountains of Northern Osteth. Be warned, these creatures are very dangerous, and should only be hunted by the most experienced adventurers."

Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "More strange creatures walking this world. You would think this place was already corrupted enough, but apparently Geraine didn't think so."

Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "Luminance? Bah! When I visited those Seers they were so awe struck by my power they bowed down to me and told about how the legend of the amazing Ulgrim reached them, even while they were stuck in portal space."

Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "Apparently the Void of Bael'zharon brought this new Void Magic with him. Oohh rage and anger. Emotional much? That guy needs to man up and have a stout."

Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "Have you noticed all of those filthy Olthoi running around? Apparently there is some new queen trying to gain power where the other Olthoi failed before. All I know is if those Olthoi make me spill my stout... there will be hell to pay."

Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "Luminance, Seers, Augs, those Empyreans were holding on to all kinds of things in Portal Space. You'd think they could of used them all together to find a way out of their instead of just sitting around waiting to be saved. I supposed not everyone can be as amazing as myself. The world would certainly be better if they could be like me though."

• Empyreans added as playable race.
• Olthoi Play introduced - Olthoi Soldiers and Olthoi Spitters added as specialized PvP races.
• Luminance introduced - A new end game system similar to standard xp Augmentations
• Void Magic - A new offensive magic skill.
• Temple Timers Reset:

The Temples of Forgetfulness and Enlightenment have had the timer for their use reset due to gameplay changes made in the November 2010 update.

  • WARNING: These quests are standalone quests, the xp bonuses are strictly handled by the NPCs in Kara, speak to them after finishing to get your bonus. Also your timer for the bonuses depend on when you completed last month's set of quests, speak to each NPC to find out if your timer hasn't expired yet. More details here.

Creature XP Adjustments

Due to many development teams and the length of the game, our creatures are far from balanced with one another. Some give a fraction of the XP as another creature which is just as difficult and others that are listed as the same level are vastly different in difficulty. The goal is to even this out across the creatures.

Nearly every creature has been updated with revised levels and experience values, and will not be listed here. For updated levels and experience on a particular creature, please visit that creature's article. Below is a general listing of the experience value based on a creature's level.

Notes

• XP trinkets apply towards Luminance (hunting and quests).
• The augmentation Quick Learner applies towards Luminance (hunting only).

Known Issues

• You lose buffs from the prior patch when you die (basically, a one-time only problem)

• Recently we discovered an issue with Luminance that can allow some players to gain Luminance at a much faster rate than was intended. With the aid of our logging system, we are able to identify players that use this means to get ahead of where they should be. Any player we have identified as using this means to get ahead of where they should be will have their extra gained augmentation removed. Going forward, anyone caught doing this or communicating the steps to do it will also be subject to further disciplinary action (which could include, but is not limited to, account suspension). The issue will be resolved in the upcoming December update. -- Frelorn^[1]
• Some characters are logging in with completely empty inventories (main pack and side packs). Relogging usually fixes it.
• The portal to the The Floating City (tunnels) found in the Golem Sanctum wasn't updated with the 150+ req.(though not really an issue an as portals inside are 150+).
• Portal to the Dark Tree Crystal Mine is still 40+, even though it's now filled with level 160+ Golems (forgot to check the rest of dungeon portals).

Typos

• Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "... You'd think they could of used them all together to find a way out of their [sic] instead ..." -- "their" should be "there"
• Scroll of Void Magic Ineptitude Other VII is mislabeled "Scroll of Wrath of the Hieromancer". The icon is correct.
• Pitted Slag, "Use this slag to show your triumph over your enemies in exhcange for goods." -- "exhcange" should be "exchange"
• Most Olthoi Racial Armor -- "This racial item can only be wielded by a Olthoi." -- "a Olthoi" should be "an Olthoi"
• In the description of Luminance tokens: "A pyreal token marked with intracate runes. The carvings glow with a faint light." -- "intracate" should be "intricate".
• Token of the Aura of Temperance - "Each purchase increases your critcal damage reduction rating by 1." -- "critcal" should be "critical"
• Extra space in the Matted Drudge Ravener's name.
